House Renovation. One Year (and a Bit) On. 26.08.12

Here's the kitchen last year, taken from the living area. Through the open door on the left is the garage (which one day might become something else...)
And now.

Closer view of part of the kitchen, with a small child for scale...
And now; no small child ruining the shot this time.
The cooker hood in all its glory.
And now.
That's a French stick trying to steal the show next to the knife block, in case you were wondering.
Rear corner of the living area; the walls/ceiling have had their first coat of paint and the electrics are done; the floor needs a little work.
And now.
Same corner, slightly different angle, plus small child sticking his fingers in a plug socket.
Plug socket now artfully hidden behind the sofa; useful.
Built-in wardrobes in the master bedroom with coat of primer, plus doorway through to en-suite, this time last year.
And now.
Shower screen fitted in ensuite. Good to see they got it the right way round.
Now.
Wooo, new towel radiator. Which I now wish was wider and shorter because...
I have to stand on tippy toes to hang my shower cap on the top.

  1. Interesting! I was looking at some of your blogs posts and I think it’s cool that you keep your readers updated about everything that’s been going on with your house. You’ve done a lot of renovation in different parts of your home and the best part is that the progress is incessant. I love the transformation of your kitchen and your living area. Both are enhanced and are looking way better than they did before. I wish I could see your whole house after all the renovations are finished, Justine.
