Viva Espana!

We're back from our hols. What a lovely week we had, enjoying the sun, the sea, the sand (although it took some getting used to for a certain young member of the party who insisted on washing his hands every time a speck of sand got anywhere near them...)

We stayed in hubby's parents' apartment in a little Spanish town called San Feliu de Guixols (don't ask me how to pronounce it, we just know it as San Felooooo) and spent most of our days just pottering around the town, harbour and beachfront promenade, swimming, eating ice cream and generally relaxing.

On the days we ventured further afield we went to the lovely beach at San Pol,

the very pretty beach at Calella de Palafrugell

and into Girona for a wander round the old town.

The weather was great - in the mid-to-high 70sF, with lovely blue skies most days.

Now we're left feeling the urge to plan our next trip away to the sun since it doesn't look like it's going to make an appearance in the UK any time soon...
