Here we are back at Mum's bungy where renovations moved on apace in May and June. Here's the living room with the new windows fitted, the walls freshly painted (in Dulux's Almond White throughout) and the windowsill painted white - quite a difference from the dark brown-framed windows, the brown windowsill and the pink walls that initially greeted us.
At the end of June, just three days before the removal men arrived with Mum's furniture, the new flooring went down.
Here's the dining area - so much brighter with the French windows instead of the brown window. And now Mum can step out on to her new patio from this room as well as from the utility room.
Here's the kitchen.
Wooden work surfaces fitted.
New sink installed.
Splashbacks tiled.
Hob installed and work surfaces oiled (by hubby.)
And finally, new flooring fitted. Lovely and bright.
And here's the utility room which was formed by stealing some space from the garage and raising the floor level; a really handy spot for Mum's washing machine and tumble dryer, plus some extra work surface.
Back to the other side of the bungy; here's the bathroom in progress. Walls fully tiled and shower tray installed.
Then the shower screen is added.
And the shower itself installed.
Then the all important facility...
And somewhere to wash hands.
Then the radiator.
And finally, the new flooring.
Along the corridor and here's Mum's room at the back of the bungy. Fresh, glossy white paint on the doors and all woodwork helps reflect the light.
And new carpet adds a finishing touch.
Here's the front bedroom during its interlude as a repository for the decorator's equipment.
A nice change once the decorating was finished and the carpet was laid.
And here's another vast improvement as the cloakroom moves from avocado hell to bright white heaven. There's is new flooring too, but I've not got a photo of that, for some reason.
And, finally, out to the back garden.
And Mum's huuuuuge new shed.
Here's a shot of the removal van with Mum's furniture on the 27th of June, two days shy of 14 weeks since she got the keys to the bungy - quite a transformation in a relatively short space of time.
I'm going to leave it here and write another post with more photos once Mum has settled in and got all of her furniture and other bits and bobs just where she wants them. Happy New Home, Mum!
It all looks fabulous! She must be so pleased with it.
