House Renovation, One Year (and a Bit) On. 16.08.12

Here's the ugly (but conforms to regulations, grrrrr) concrete hearth being built a year ago in the snug.

And here it is now; still ugly, but at least the concrete has dried.
One day we'll think of what to do to disguise the ugliness; perhaps with a lovely piece of slate, or some tiles.

Here's the view up the stairway that leads to our offices (mine to the left, hubby's to the right.)

And now; looking better with white paint on the bannister, carpet on the stairs, pictures on the wall and a door on the "loft" space where the Christmas decorations live.

Hubby's office a year ago, with the new lights fitted and the ceiling plastered.
And now;
I'm not jealous that his office is smaller than mine, and yet infinitely tidier.
My office, with the new lights fitted and the ceiling plastered.

And now. When will it ever be tidy?

  1. How lovely to have 2 offices, I'm amazed you did so much to your house in 1 year.
